MEDIA STATEMENT - IPVM article

IPVM published a news article regarding a survey, carried out on behalf of Secure Redact, into the  retail industry in June 2022.

The report was conducted in good faith to gather insight into the current video surveillance trends with IT and security practitioners in small and large UK retail organisations. 

The survey questions, methodology and study were managed by a reputable market research agency in line with the market research society [MRS] code of conduct, which is based on the ESOMAR principles; the market researchers also approved the final press release, based on the data. 

Following the press reports, some questions about the data were raised and Secure Redact produced a video, featuring Chief Executive, Simon Randall, explaining the discrepancy between the study findings and ICO UK reporting.

We believe the article misrepresents both the intent and integrity of Secure Redact’s actions.
