Pimloc hires US sales leader, taking its AI-powered video privacy and analytics technology to North America

Tom Fashola has been named Vice President of US Sales as Pimloc looks to expand use of its technology in the North American market.

Pimloc, the company using artificial intelligence (AI) to anonymise personal data in videos, today announces the hire of its first sales leader in North America, Tom Fashola, who will serve as Vice President of US Sales.

In his new role, Tom Fashola will lead the North American sales strategy, including overseeing the launch and scaling of Pimloc’s technology in the United States. Pimloc’s Secure Redact platform uses AI to protect and remove personally identifying information (PII) from video captured by CCTV, bodycams or dashcams.

Based in California, Tom will support US customers to enable the use of Pimloc’s technology so organisations remain compliant with federal and local policies surrounding video footage that includes PII. These policies include commonly known laws such as the CPRA, California’s privacy act; HIPAA, protecting private healthcare information or COPPA, which protects the information of minors under the age of 13.

Pimloc’s award-winning platform, Secure Redact, is an automated anonymisation SaaS solution that helps companies protect PII within images and video for data compliance, responsible sharing and transparency. Secure Redact can anonymise video, such as blurring faces, objects, number plates and other personal or sensitive data, nearly 300 times faster than traditional video editing solutions, helping organisations save valuable time and resources. The video privacy platform also has capabilities to provide high quality video metadata and overlay video analytics on top of anonymised (live) video.

As Pimloc’s footprint expands in the US, the company will also focus on organisations in the transportation, public safety, healthcare, retail and government sectors to help them responsibly analyse video metadata to better understand behaviours and people flow, such as people and vehicle counting, active direction flows and movement patterns. Pimloc also provides secure storage solutions that enable encrypted sharing and data management.

Tom joins Pimloc from ClearScale, a leading cloud systems integration company and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Premier Consulting Partner, which focuses on architecture design, migration, automation, application development and managed services. There he managed the AWS partnership across go-to-market and service integration strategies to help drive ARR growth by establishing and maintaining preferred relationships with partner managers, the field organisation and relevant service teams.

In a world flooded with data, privacy and compliance have never been more important for global organisations, and for the public.

That’s why I’m thrilled to welcome Tom, who will revolutionise the way organisations in North America approach video - helping to realise the potential of visual data for analytics whilst simultaneously adhering to international data compliance and prioritising privacy. With many years of experience in sales, data management and analytics, Tom has a proven track record of helping customers implement cutting-edge tech that delivers real, commercial impact.
